Adrien Duvillard (born February 8, 1969 in Megève ) is a former French ski racer . He was particularly successful in the Downhill and Super-G disciplines .

biography

The son of Adrien Duvillard senior and nephew of Henri Duvillard , both of whom were also successful ski racers, began his careers in FIS races and in the European Cup . He contested the first races in the World Cup in 1991. He scored World Cup points for the first time on January 17, 1992 when he finished 17th on the Streif in Kitzbühel ; a day later he was eighth.

As a result, Duvillard established himself in the midfield, with his performance fluctuating very strongly. He celebrated his greatest success on March 19, 1993 when he surprisingly won the World Cup downhill run in Kvitfjell . He was unable to confirm this success in the following years, although he made it into the top ten several times. In 1998 he retired in his only participation in the Olympic Games in both downhill and Super-G, the best result at world championships is an eleventh place.

Duvillard resigned from top sport at the end of the 1997/98 season. He was married to Sophie Lefranc-Duvillard , who was also a ski racer and who died in April 2017.
