Adversor is an Italian thrash metal band from Vicenza and Verona that was founded in 2015.

history

After his previous band HoS broke up in September 2015 , guitarist and singer Marco "Dado" Cardi decided to found Adversor with his brother Jacopo (drums). After Aurora Merci joined the line-up as another guitarist, they began writing the first songs. After a few months, Emanuele Alimonti was found to play bass. This was followed by concerts all over Italy, among others together with Chronosphere , Battalion and Bleeding Utopia . In October 2016, the debut album Rise to Survive was released via Punishment 18 Records .

style

According to Matt Coe from eternal-terror.com , the band plays on Rise to Survive Thrash Metal, which is based on the German Thrash Metal of the 1980s, so-called "Teutonic Thrash Metal", and the late Thrash Metal of the 1980s. The vocals as well as the riffs are fast and sound rough, while the bass has a somewhat progressive character. Marco Cardi occasionally uses screams that sound like those of Mille Petrozza . The bass in Beware of Soothsayer evokes memories of Sadus and Flotsam and Jetsam , while the gangshouts in Abhor War Crimes would make the song sound like Stormtroopers of Death . In songs like Final Call or Envenomed , the band slows down a bit. All in all, Kreator , Sodom and Sadus can be used as references .
