The Aebi Schmidt Holding AG , based in Frauenfeld TG and a further business address in Zurich is an organized under Swiss law corporation . It is the parent company of the Aebi Schmidt Group (formerly ASH Group).
The company emerged in 2007 from the merger of the Swiss Aebi Group from Burgdorf BE and the Schmidt Group ( Schmidt Winterdienst- und Kommunaltechnik ) from St. Blasien , Germany. In April 2007, the shareholders of the two companies approved a merger of their companies. This was followed by various acquisitions of locally anchored brands in the company's core business before expanding to North America in 2015. Meyer Products LLC and Swenson Spreader LLC have been part of the group since 2015, and MB Companies since 2018. In January 2019, the group took over the City Ranger 3500 and 3570 sweepers from the Danish Nilfisk Group.
In March 2019, the ASH Group was renamed the Aebi Schmidt Group and at the same time the brand structure was simplified. The six still existing product brands Aebi, Schmidt, Nido, Meyer, Swenson and MB received a new brand design at the same time, which also makes the unity of the group visually recognizable. The Aebi Schmidt Group employs around 2000 people worldwide and generated sales of 415 million euros in 2018. The company is wholly privately owned. The majority shareholder is PCS Holding AG, which is owned by Peter Spuhler, with a share of 54%. Another 35% is owned by Gebuka AG, 8% owned by Barend Fruithof (CEO) and 3% owned by other members of the board of directors and management.
The Aebi Schmidt Group is a manufacturer of product systems and services for the management, cleaning and clearing of traffic areas as well as for the maintenance of green areas in challenging terrain. The range includes our own vehicles as well as attachments and attachments for individual vehicle equipment. The focus is on vehicles and applications for cleaning, clearing snow and combating icy conditions on airports and roads, road sweepers and vehicles for everyday tasks in municipal and agriculture, the management of demanding, steep green spaces, snow removal concepts for track vehicles and various services.
