Aenne Burda Award
The Aenne Burda Award for Creative Leadership is given annually as part of the DLD conference to influential women for their visionary ideas.
history
In 2006 , Hubert Burda donated the Aenne Burda Award to commemorate his mother Aenne Burda's entrepreneurial and social commitment .
Previous winners are:
- 2006: Marissa Mayer , at the time Vice President of Google and responsible for "Search Products and User Experience"
- 2007: Caterina Fake , a co-founder of Flickr
- 2008: Martha Stewart , a publisher and creator of TV productions on topics such as gardens, household, kitchen and fashion
- 2009: Esther Dyson , a journalist investing in new internet companies like Flickr and Del.icio.us
- 2010: Mitchell Baker , Chair of the Mozilla Foundation
- 2011: Natalie Massenet , founder of the online luxury fashion portal for women Net-A-Porter .
- 2012: Arianna Huffington , founder of the online newspaper Huffington Post
- 2013: Zaha Hadid , one of the most successful and innovative architects in the world
- 2014: Viviane Reding , Vice-President of the European Commission and Commissioner for Justice, Fundamental Rights and Citizenship
- 2015: Edit Schlaffer , founder and chairwoman of Women without Borders
- 2017: Auguste von Bayern , ornithologist and patron of Biotopia
- 2018: Christiana Figueres , Costa Rican politician and former Secretary General of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change
- 2019: Fatoumata Ba , Nigerian entrepreneur
- 2020: Maya Hoffmann , Swiss art collector, documentary film producer, businesswoman and founder of the Luma Foundation
