Aeonium sect. Greenovia is a section from the genus Aeonium . The botanical name Greenovia honors the English geologist George Bellas Greenough .
description
The types of the Greenovia section differ from the genus by the following characteristics: The rather small rosettes are solitary or form runners . The leaves partially have a translucent edge or are close glands hairy. The inflorescence is densely leafed and forms more or less compact sham umbels . The 18- to 32-fold flowers are deep yellow.

The species of the Greenovia section are common in the Canary Islands .
