Aeternum Sacris is a funeral doom band founded in 2009 .

history

Aeternum Sacris was founded in 2009 as a one-man project by the multinational journalist and singer "Sacris". The musician withholds further information about himself and thus puts the music in the foreground. According to their own statements, there are no plans for the activities as Aeternum Sacris, but already completed, but not yet released albums. The music is by no means calculated, but rather spontaneously as an emotional expression. Accordingly, he describes She and Doom Metal Girl as songs that emerged from the relationship to specific people and the albums A Doomed Love and 03/11/2011 expression of feelings about real life situations. "Sacris" released his music for free download with the note that the money that the buyer would be willing to pay should better be used for charitable purposes. Despite various contract offers and various release plans , an extended album version of a demo from 2011 was not released until 2019, after a series of demo recordings , EPs and singles self-published via Silent Time Noise . The label debut 2011.03.11 is a substantive and emotional examination of the Fukushima catastrophe and its consequences, which originally arose immediately after the event and was shaped by the accompanying impressions.

According to the review of (11-03-2011) written for Doom-Metal.com, Aeternum Sacris is creating an “emotional winter” that can be compared to that of Profetus or Longing for Dawn .

The singing is whispered and whispered growled . The guitar playing, which is occasionally swapped with the keyboard as a lead instrument , is considered to be dominant in the overall sound and is dubbed "crashing, full and overwhelming". In addition to the sound of the "almost omnipresent electric guitar", the music of Aeternum Sacris includes the sound of acoustic guitars, different orchestral and synthesizer sounds, the aforementioned muffled and whispered singing and the occasional use of a woman's voice as sacred background singing.
