African Parks is a cross - border non-governmental organization in Africa . It has been campaigning for nature and animal protection on the continent since it was founded by leading conservationists in 2000 .

Nature reserves

African Parks is the only non-profit organization of its kind in Africa that undertakes state conservation tasks within the framework of public-private partnerships , including the management of national parks .
