Afridi

The Afridi ( Pashtun اپريدي, Urdu آفریدی, antique aparytai? ) are a Pashtun tribe of around 315,000 people.

Your settlement area Safed Koh (approx. 2600 km²) lies in the Peschawar valley at the Chaiber pass on the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan. In historical times, the Afridi were considered a warlike people.

The tribe is divided into eight clans :

  • Adam Khel
  • Aka Khel
  • Kamar Khel
  • Kambar Khel
  • Kuki Khel
  • Malikdin Khel
  • Zakka Khel
  • Sipah
