The Roman Catholic Diocese of Maradi ( Latin : Dioecesis Maradensis ) comprises the regions of Agadez , Diffa , Maradi , Tahoua and Zinder of the Republic of Niger .

The diocese was founded on March 13, 2001 by Pope John Paul II and separated from the Niamey diocese . The diocese has belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Niamey since June 25, 2007 , before that it was immediately .
