The agach (agasch) was a measure of length and path and was also the basis for a measure of area.

Turkish

1st dimension

As a Turkish measure, it was a Turkish mile of two different lengths.

Based on 1 degree of longitude at the equator , it was 20 5/6 Agatsch.

2nd dimension

  • 1 Agatsch / Farsang / Parasange = 3 Berri = 5001 meters
  • 1 Berry = 1667 meters (also 1475.576 meters) was also considered the Turkish mile

In relation to the 1 degree of longitude at the equator, it was 20.257 Agatsch.
