Agdistis intermedia is a butterfly (moth) from the family of feather moths (Pterophoridae).
features
The moths reach a wingspan of 24 to 30 millimeters and are gray-brown in color. The area between the wing folds is paler than the basic color. There are no spots on the Costa loader; there are four spots along the dorsal edge of the wing fold. The fourth spot is closer to the Costalader than the third, and occasionally these are also merged.
The valves of the male genitals and the costal arms are symmetrical. The uncus is bilobed and symmetrical. The ninth sternite is asymmetrically bidentate. The ostium of the female genitals is slightly rounded. The antrum is almost semicircular, laterocaudal it is enlarged by two thorn-shaped appendages. These resemble those of Agdistis bennetii , but they are not very well developed. The anterior apophyses are short.
Similar species
- Agdistis bennetii (Curtis, 1833) is a closely related species that can only be distinguished from Agdistis intermedia by its genitals.

The distribution area of Agdistis intermedia is in Hungary and Romania , in the east it extends to Russia and Kazakhstan .
Way of life
The larvae probably feed on common sea lavender ( Limonium vulgare ).
Flight and caterpillar times
The moths fly from June to August, nothing is known about the number of generations per year.
