She gained international fame as a speaker and author on diving and marine archeology . She dived to greater depths in cave systems in Australia and Florida than others before. Diving expeditions and successes (selection)

In 2009, she and James Arundale explored the cave system of the Elk River, which at more than 1,400 meters is the longest continuous river passage in Victoria, Australia to date. The expedition was coordinated by the Victorian Speleological Association.

On another expedition in 2009 near Cocklebiddy, she reached the midpoint of the Craig Challen route, setting the record for the longest cave dive in Australia by a woman. She was part of the National Geographic Nova TV special expedition to the Bahamas Blue Holes in December 2008. This was followed by an expedition in October 2009 in Queensland . Milowka participated in the filming of the 3D diving film Sanctum from James Cameron with where she was Stuntwomen worked.

death

She was separated from her dive buddy while exploring Tank Cave in South Australia , one of the largest and most complex cave systems in the world. When the mud was thrown up, she lost her bearings, couldn't find her way back and died of a lack of oxygen. The recovery of the dead turned out to be difficult because the body of the diver was 600 meters in the very narrow cave system.
