Agnieszka Baranowska

Agnieszka Baranowska (born April 19, 1948 in Warsaw ) is a Polish literary critic and publicist . She is the daughter of the writer Lesław Bartelski .

Life

Baranowska attended high school in Warsaw and then studied ethnography at the University of Warsaw , where she obtained her master's degree in 1971 . She made her debut as a literary critic with a review of the book Sny i widma by Stanisław Czernik , which was published in the magazine Nowe Książki . For Nowe Książki she wrote to 1978. In addition, it belonged from 1972 to 1982 to the editors of the weekly Kultura and from 1977 to 1979 the journal Kontrasty . She was a member of the Society of Polish Journalists from 1971 to 1982. She has been writing for the weekly Tu i teraz since 1982. In 1985 she was accepted into the newly founded Association of Polish Writers . From 1985 to 1990 she worked again for Kultura and since 1990 for Kobieta i Życie .

Baranowska lives in Warsaw.
