Agnieszka Hekiert (* 1973 ) is a Polish jazz and pop singer , composer and lyricist who lives in Germany .

Life

Hekiert studied at the Katowice Music Academy . In 2004 she recorded the CD Night And Day Swing with the Krzysztof Herdzin Trio . Hekiert then gave concerts in France, Italy, Croatia, Bulgaria and especially in Germany and Austria, where she works with saxophonist Leszek Zadlo as well as with Konstantin Kostov and Nevian Lenkov. The result of this collaboration is the album European Impressions in 2009. In the same year, Agnieszka began working with singer Bobby McFerrin , with whom she performed several times as part of the Vocabularies project. She now actively teaches his circle singing method in the vocal and choir workshops she leads.

In 2011 Agnieszka received an invitation to participate in the Paris concert of the WeBe3 project, which Rhiannon , Dave Worm and Joey Blake form. In 2012 her solo album Stories was released by UNIVERSAL Music, which was recorded together with musicians such as Konstantin Kostov , Cezary Konrad , Robert Kubiszyn, Krzysztof Herdzin, Kuba Badach and the Atom String Quartet.

In 2014 she performed at the Notturni Festival in Milan, accompanied by the artists Jeff Berlin (USA) and Kazumi Watanabe (Japan).

Agnieszka Hekiert is known as a singing teacher and vocal trainer for her work behind the scenes on television programs such as “Das Supertalent”, “X Factor” or “Sing like a star” in Poland, where she prepares singers for their appearances in front of the television audience. In addition, she leads her own vocal workshops in which she teaches improvisation, rhythm work, interpretation, voice training and stage presence.

Agnieszka Hekiert is married and lives with her husband in Bavaria .
