Stanislav Khegai

Stanislav Khegai (* 1985 ) is a Kazakh pianist. He is the winner of the European Piano Competition Bremen 2014 and the winner of the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels and the Concours Géza Anda in Zurich. He received the 2nd prize at the III. Scriabin International Piano Competition in Moscow and the Grand Prix at the International Piano Competition of Central Asia.

Life

At the age of 15, Khegai was awarded the Grand Prix at the International Piano Competition of Central Asia. A year later he played the Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor by Rachmaninov with Philharmonic Orchestra. At the age of 19 he received 2nd prize at the 3rd International Scriabin Piano Competition in Moscow (Russia). Khegai is the winner of the 15th International Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels (Belgium) and the 10th Concours Géza Anda in Zurich (Switzerland).

In March 2014 he was the winner of the 14th European Piano Competition in Bremen (Germany). He was also awarded three DAAD scholarships (Bonn, Germany).

Khegai has performed in recitals in Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Morocco, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Japan, Canada and South Korea. In November 2013 Khegai played the Piano Concerto No. 2 in B flat major by Brahms in the Great Hall of the Gewandhaus in Leipzig. He has performed in concert halls such as Palais des Beaux-Arts BOZAR and Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie (Bruxelles), Salle Cortot (Paris), Gewandhaus (Leipzig), Die Glocke and Radio Bremen Sendesaal (Bremen), Great Hall of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory (Moscow ), Guro Arts Valley Theater (Seoul), Gasteig (Munich), Ansan Arts Center (South Korea) and has played as a soloist with renowned orchestras, including the Orchester National de Belgique, the Bremen Philharmonic , the Orchester Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, the Moravian Philharmonic, the Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of conductors such as Gilbert Varga, Paul Goodwin , Mathias Foremny , Volker Schmidt-Gertenbach .

In the 2008 - 2009 season he has a. a. his tour of Germany completed with the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra, where he developed the Piano Concerto No. 1 in C Major by Beethoven aufführte. In July 2007 he played a solo evening with works by Schubert, Brahms, Beethoven and Schumann at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival . Khegai has also given recitals at festivals such as the Les Nuits Musicales de Nice Festival, the Pianissimo Festival in Tartu, the Asian Composers League International Festival 2010 and the UNESCO Forum in Seoul. In April 2017 he played a. a. Ravel's Miroirs in the After Work Concert series in the Gewandhaus in Leipzig. His performances were broadcast live a. a. on Radio Bremen , NDR , MDR (Germany), RTBF , Klara Radio, Musiq3 (Belgium), TV-Kultura (Russia) and KBS (Korea).
