The Agricultural Bank of Namibia (mostly just AgriBank for short ) is Namibia's national agricultural bank . It is based in the capital Windhoek .

Their main task is to promote agriculture or the economic sectors associated with agriculture by granting loans. The bank operates from six nationwide branches in Windhoek, Otjiwarongo , Rundu , Mariental , Oshakati and Katima Mulilo .

history

The Agricultural Bank of Namibia was founded in 1907 under the name Deutsch-Südwestafrikanischer Farmerbund . The Land and Agricultural Bank of South West Africa emerged from it in 1922 . In 1991 it was given its current name on the basis of Ordinance No. 27.
