Agustín Sánchez Vidal

Agustín Sánchez Vidal (* 1948 , Province of Salamanca ) is a Spanish writer and professor of art history and audiovisual media .

Sánchez Vidal was born in the village of Cilleros de la Bastida in 1948. He studied at the University of Zaragoza and wrote his doctoral thesis on Miguel Hernández in 1974 . He sifted through manuscripts of this epigone of the Generación del 27 that had not been published before . From 1980 he worked with Luis Buñuel on the review and edition of his (Buñuels) writings. Since 1991 he has been professor of art history and audiovisual media at the University of Zaragoza and has written scripts for film and television. In addition to several monographs on the history of art, literature and film, he published historical novels.
