Ahmad an-Naqschbandi

Ahmad Abd al-Qadir an-Naqschbandi (* 1930 in Erbil , Iraq ) is a former Kurdish politician in Iraq .

In 1974 he became a member of the Executive Committee (regional government) in the Kurdish Autonomous Region , which was founded under the Autonomy Agreement and, as Haschim Aqrawi's successor, was chairman of this executive committee from 1977 to 1980. He then handed over the chairmanship to Jamal al-Hajj Sharif and, as Muhammad Amin Muhammad Ahmad's successor, became chairman of the legislative committee (regional parliament). He was re-elected in 1983 and 1986, but was replaced by Baha al-Din Ahmad Faraj after the 1989 elections .
