Ahmed Salim Ould Sidi ( Arabic أحمد سالم ولد سيدي, DMG Aḥmad Sālim walad Sīdī , b. 1939 ; executed after March 16, 1981 ) was a Mauritanian military and politician and the Acting Prime Minister between May 28 and 31, 1979.

He took part in the coup against Mustafa Ould Salek and supported Ahmed Ould Bouceif in the election of Prime Minister. After Ahmed Ould Bouceif died in a plane crash on May 27, 1979, Ahmed Salim Ould Sidi temporarily took over his position. On May 31, he was deposed by Mohamed Khouna Ould Haidalla , who at that time began to usurp all power. Ahmed Salim Ould Sidi initially remained Vice President and Chief of the Comité Militaire de Salut National until 1980, when Mohamed Khouna Ould Haidalla eliminated all possible opposing candidates. Ahmed Salim Ould Sidi joined the Alliance pour une Mauritanie Démocratique , which was associated with former President Moktar Ould Daddah . On March 16, 1981, he attempted a coup against Mohamed Khouna Ould Haidalla with the help of Mohamed Abdelkader, a former Air Force commander. The coup failed and the president took this as an opportunity to start a tougher course and abolish civil rights. Ahmed Salim Ould Sidi and Mohamed Abdelkader were executed soon after.
