Sidi Mohamed Ould Boubacar ( Arabic سيدي محمد ولد بو بكر, DMG Sīdī Muḥammad walad Bū Bakr ; * 1945 ) was Prime Minister of Mauritania from August 7, 2005 to April 20, 2007 . He was succeeded by Zeine Ould Zeidane .

Life

He already held this post from 1992 to 1996 under President Maaouya Ould Sid'Ahmed Taya and was meanwhile his country's ambassador to France . He was reinstated as prime minister by Ely Ould Mohamed Vall after his predecessor Sghaïr Ould M'Bareck had resigned as a result of the August 3, 2005 military coup. He is a member of the PRDS .

He took part in the 2019 presidential election as a candidate for several opposition groups.
