Ahmet Demir

Ahmet Demir (born January 2, 1983 in Zams ) is an Austrian politician ( GREEN ) and youth advisor. From 2013 to 2018 he was a member of the Tyrolean state parliament .

education and profession

Demir attended the Bruggen elementary school in Landeck between 1990 and 1994 and then graduated from the BRG / BORG Landeck from 1994 to 2003, where he passed the Matura . He then attended the Pedagogical Academy in Stams between 2003 and 2005 , from which he graduated with the academic degree "Dipl.-Päd." In 2006 he did his community service at the Austrian Youth Red Cross. From 2012 he also studied political science at the University of Innsbruck . Demir was a youth advisor at ZEMIT and Info Eck Imst from 2007 and is currently on educational leave.

Politics and functions

Demir was elected to Landeck's municipal council in the 2010 municipal council elections and is spokesman for the Green Zuagroasten. He ran for the state election in 2013 in fourth place on the Greens state list and in first place in the Landeck electoral district . He was subsequently able to move into the state parliament via the state list and was sworn in as a member of the state parliament on May 24, 2013. Demir was deputy chairman in the committee for society, education, culture and sport.
