Ahmići ( Serbian - Cyrillic Ахмићи ) is a village in Bosnia and Herzegovina . It is located near the main road from Sarajevo to Travnik in the municipality of Vitez . The village became the scene of the war between Croats and Bosniaks on April 16, 1993 , when the Ahmići massacre occurred by Croatian troops of Bosniak civilians.
