Lino Aguirre Garcia (born September 23, 1895 in Mezticacán , Jalisco , Mexico , † February 20, 1975 in Culiacán , Sinaloa ) was Bishop of Culiacán .

Life

Lino Aguirre Garcia studied Catholic theology and philosophy at the seminary in Guadalajara . Aguirre Garcia received on 9 November 1919, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On January 22, 1944, Pope Pius XII appointed him . to the Bishop of Sinaloa. The Archbishop of Guadalajara , José Garibi y Rivera , donated him episcopal ordination on March 12 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Huejutla , Manuel Jerónimo Yerena y Camarena , and the Archbishop Emeritus of Monterrey , José Guadalupe Ortíz y López .

On August 20, 1969, Pope Paul VI took the resignation put forward by Lino Aguirre Garcia for reasons of age and appointed him titular bishop of Aquae Flaviae . On December 31, 1970, Aguirre Garcia renounced the titular bishopric Aquae Flaviae.
