Manuel Jerónimo Yerena y Camarena (born September 30, 1886 in Mirandilla de Mascota , Jalisco , Mexico , † December 13, 1973 in Huejutla , Hidalgo ) was Bishop of Huejutla .

Life

Manuel Jerónimo Yerena y Camarena received on 11 December 1910, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On July 17, 1940, Pope Pius XII appointed him . to the Bishop of Huejutla. The Archbishop of Guadalajara , José Garibi y Rivera , donated him episcopal ordination on September 15 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Tepic , Anastasio Hurtado y Robles , and the auxiliary bishop in Mexico City , Maximino Ruiz y Flores . The inauguration took place on October 8, 1940.

On August 19, 1963, Pope Paul VI. the resignation put forward by Manuel Jerónimo Yerena y Camarena for reasons of age and appointed him titular bishop of Boseta . Yerena y Camarena renounced the titular bishopric of Boseta on February 2, 1971.

Manuel Jerónimo Yerena y Camarena attended the first session of the Second Vatican Council .
