José de Jesús Manríquez y Zárate (born November 7, 1884 in León , Guanajuato , Mexico , † June 28, 1951 in Huejutla , Hidalgo ) was Bishop of Huejutla .

Life

José de Jesús Manríquez y Zárate received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of León on October 28, 1907 .

On December 11, 1922, Pope Pius XI appointed him . the first bishop of Huejutla. The Bishop of León, Emeterio Valverde y Téllez , donated him episcopal ordination on February 4, 1923 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Querétaro , Francisco Banegas y Galván , and the Bishop Emeritus of Chilapa , Francisco Maria Campos y Angeles . The inauguration took place on July 8, 1923.

On July 1, 1939, José de Jesús Manríquez y Zárate resigned as Bishop of Huejutla. Pope Pius XII thereupon appointed him titular bishop of Verbe .
