The Diocese of Queretaro ( lat. : Dioecesis Queretarensis , span. : Diócesis de Querétaro ) is in Mexico located Roman Catholic diocese , based in Santiago de Querétaro .

history

The diocese of Querétaro was on January 26, 1863 by Pope Pius IX. Erected from cessions of territory by the Archdiocese of Mexico City and the Diocese of Michoacán .

It is subordinate to the Archdiocese of León as a suffragan .
