Agustín Aguirre y Ramos (born May 5, 1867 in San Sebastián , Sinaloa , Mexico , † May 7, 1942 in Culiacán ) was Bishop of Sinaloa .

Life

Agustín Aguirre y Ramos studied Catholic theology and philosophy at the seminary in Guadalajara . He received on December 3, 1893 sacrament of Holy Orders . Aguirre y Ramos became a doctor of theology doctorate . He was then rector of the Colegio de la Purísima in Zapopan .

On June 23, 1922, Pope Pius XI appointed him . to the Bishop of Sinaloa . The Archbishop of Guadalajara , Francisco Orozco y Jiménez , gave him episcopal ordination on October 1 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Zamora , Manuel Fulcheri y Pietrasanta , and the Bishop of Ciudad Victoria-Tamaulipas , José Guadalupe Ortíz y López . The inauguration took place on December 11, 1922.
