Silviano Carrillo y Cárdenas (born March 4, 1861 in Pátzcuaro , Michoacán , Mexico , † September 10, 1921 in Culiacán , Sinaloa ) was Bishop of Sinaloa .

Life

Silviano Carrillo y Cárdenas studied Catholic theology and philosophy at the seminaries in Zamora de Hidalgo and Guadalajara from 1872 to 1884 . He received on 26 December 1884 by the Archbishop of Guadalajara , Pedro José de Jesús Loza y Pardavé , the sacrament of Holy Orders .

From 1885 to 1895 he was pastor in Cocula and from 1895 to 1916 in Zapotlán el Grande .

On July 30, 1920 Pope Benedict XV appointed him . to the Bishop of Sinaloa . The Archbishop of Guadalajara, Francisco Orozco y Jiménez , donated him episcopal ordination on February 24, 1921 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Zamora , José Othón Núñez y Zárate , and the auxiliary bishop in Guadalajara, Francisco Uranga y Sáenz . The inauguration took place on March 19, 1921.
