Francisco Uranga y Sáenz (born November 16, 1863 in Santa Cruz de Rosales , Chihuahua , Mexico , † July 8, 1930 in Mexico City ) was Bishop of Cuernavaca .

Life

Francisco Uranga y Sáenz received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Durango on March 5, 1886 .

On June 25, 1903, Pope Leo XIII appointed him . to the Bishop of Sinaloa . The Archbishop of Durango , Santiago de Zubiría y Manzanera , gave him episcopal ordination on August 16 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Chihuahua , Nicolás Pérez Gavilán y Echeverría , and the Bishop of Ciudad Victoria-Tamaulipas , Filemón Fierro y Terán . The inauguration took place on October 4, 1903.

On December 18, 1919, Francisco Uranga y Sáenz resigned as Bishop of Sinaloa. On the same day Pope Benedict XV appointed him . the titular bishop of Tlos and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Guadalajara . Pope Pius XI appointed him on April 21, 1922 bishop of Cuernavaca. The inauguration took place on June 8 of the same year.
