Filemón Fierro y Terán
Filemón Fierro y Terán (born November 22, 1859 in Guichapa , Guanajuato , Mexico , † July 7, 1905 in Tampico , Tamaulipas ) was bishop of Ciudad Victoria-Tamaulipas .
Life
Filemón Fierro y Terán received after studying Catholic theology and philosophy on December 23, 1882 by the Bishop of Antequera, Vicente Fermín Márquez y Carrizosa , the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Antequera . Fierro y Terán was an alumnus of the Pontifical Latin American College "Pius" in Rome . Filemón Fierro y Terán was in Rome for the doctor of theology doctorate .
On March 29, 1897 Pope Leo XIII appointed him . as Bishop of Ciudad Victoria-Tamaulipas. The Archbishop of Antequera, Eulogio Gregorio Gillow y Clemente Zavalza , donated to him on June 13 of that year in the Catedral de la Inmaculada Concepcion in Tampico , Tamaulipas , the episcopal ordination . The inauguration took place on June 30, 1897.
