Francisco Orozco y Jiménez (born November 18, 1864 in Zamora , Sonora , Mexico , † February 18, 1936 ) was a Mexican clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Guadalajara .

Life

Francisco Orozco y Jiménez received on 17 December 1887, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On May 30, 1902, Pope Leo XIII appointed him . to the Bishop of Chiapas . The Archbishop of Mexico City , Próspero María Alarcón y Sánchez de la Barquera , gave him episcopal ordination on August 15 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Cuernavaca , Francisco Plancarte y Navarrette , and the Bishop of León , Leopoldo Ruiz y Flóres . The inauguration took place on December 3, 1902. Pope Pius X appointed him Archbishop of Guadalajara on December 2, 1912. The inauguration took place on February 9, 1913.
