Ahzumjot (* 5 July 1989 in Hamburg as Alan Julian Asare-Tawiah ) is a German rapper and producer.
life and career
Alan Julian Asare was born in Hamburg to a Ghanaian father and a Romanian mother .
Ahzumjot wanted to be an actor or journalist as a child, but as a fan of English-language rap music, he began making music himself as a teenager. In keeping with its motto "If it is good in English and you can also do well in German that." He published in 2011 in the wake of already successful rapper Casper , Peter Fox and Marteria his first album Monty , he fully absorbed at home and produced. Shortly afterwards the album was chosen by Juice as the mixtape of the edition.
After publication, he moved from Hamburg to Berlin to advance his career and gain further experience. He performed at many events, such as the Splash! , and signed a contract with Universal Music . He took a long time for his second album. It was titled Nix Mehr Egal , was released in late summer 2014 and was mainly produced by Levon Supreme and Nikolai Potthoff .
For his friend and rapper colleague Lance Butters , in addition to his role as a consultant, he mixed the album BLAOW , which was released on May 8, 2015 and reached second place in the German album charts.
After the success with the album Nix Mehr Egal failed, he ended his contract with Universal Music. Since then he has been producing his music from home again.
On October 2nd, 2015 the Minus EP was released, which was produced by Ahzumjot himself and his long-time colleague Lev (formerly Levon Supreme).
On March 6, 2016 Ahzumjot released the 16QT01: The Remixes (EP) as a free download, which, as the title suggests, only contains remixes by well-known artists. Alan announced that all 16QT projects will be available for free download.
Almost 4 months later the 16QT02: Tag Drei (EP) was released, this time 8 new tracks out of a total of 14 are on it. The remaining 6 tracks were already on the Minus EP. There was also a video for Schwör's dir / Schwör's mir for this release .
On November 20, 2016, the Lassensedis Tour started together with Lance Butters , which lasted until December 10, 2016. Shortly before that, he released Die Welle (EP) with him , which consisted of six new titles.
The fourth and final part of the 16QT project was published on March 6, 2017 under the title Luft & Liebe . This also consisted of 11 free tracks.
In the same year he announced the playlist album RAUM . All the associated songs are gradually released to form an album at the end. Here the listener can observe the development of the project.
As his personal goal, Asare-Tawiah states that his career continues and never stops, so that he can always set new goals.
