Aidar Bulatuly Beqschanow ( Kazakh Айдар Булатұлы Беқжанов , Russian Айдар Булатович Бекжанов , Aidar Bulatowitsch Bekschanow ; born May 20, 1993 in Aqtöbe ) is a Kazakh shorttra .

Career

Beqschanow made his debut in Beijing in September 2009 in the Short Track World Cup and finished 67th over 1000 m and 54th place over 500 m. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , he came in 28th place over 1000 m. His best result at the 2010 Short Track World Championships in Sofia was 17th over 1000 m. In November 2013 he achieved his first top ten placement in the World Cup with eighth place over 500 m in Moscow . At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , he finished 29th over 1500 m, 20th over 500 m and fifth place with the relay. After finishing ten over 500 m in Calgary at the beginning of the 2016/17 season , he came on the podium in Salt Lake City and at the end of the season in Minsk with third place in the relay for the first time in the World Cup. At the 2017 Short Track World Championships in Rotterdam , he finished sixth in the relay. At the 2017 Winter Universiade in Almaty , he was fourth in the 1000 m and won the bronze medal with the relay.
