The Aileu chain is a mountain range in East Timor . It extends from the east of Ermera , over Aileu to the south of Manatuto . The Ramelau Mountains lie to the south and the coastal mountains to the north. The highest point is the Foho Olopana with 1791 m . Nearby, between the mountains, is Lake Lehumo . In the east, the sea level drops to 900 m to 1200 m . From north to east, valleys break through the mountain ranges through which rivers flow towards the north.
