history
In July 1931 Sir Alan Cobham ordered two machines for the National Aviation Day air show. The first flight took place in early March in the year 1932 on the airfield of Sherburn-in Elmet . The pilot was Harry Worrall.
Obviously, in addition to these two machines, only two other machines were ordered that were later taken over by the RAF. The marks were G-ABSI, G-ABSJ, G-ACBT and G-ACFB. The G-ACBT crashed near Oban on May 27, 1933 .
Both RAF machines, on the other hand, survived until 1941, although the G-ABSJ was also involved in an accident in July 1932 when they were only used for RAF training purposes on the ground. One of them was still in use as a liaison aircraft until 1941.
