Rudolf Liebe († 1978 ) was a German toothpaste manufacturer .

Life

In 1919 Rudolf Liebe took over a small pharmaceutical company in Tetschen ( Czechoslovakia ) from his father Willibald Liebe. Liebe received his doctorate in 1921 at the Silesian Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität zu Breslau as a chemist . The business in Tetschen was set up in 1895 as a branch of a company for dietetic and pharmaceutical preparations founded by the pharmacist Johannes Paul Liebe (see also Villa J. Paul Liebe ) in Dresden in 1866 and became independent in 1905. Liebe ran the company in which u. a. Cough syrups , ointments and tonics were produced until 1948, when it was expropriated and expelled due to the Beneš decrees .

In 1948, Liebe founded a company in Stuttgart-Möhringen , with which he launched the toothpaste concentrate Ajona Stomaticum in 1952 . In 1962, the company relocated to neighboring Leinfelden-Echterdingen . After Liebes death in 1978 it was run by his widow and is operated under the company name Dr. Rudolf Liebe Nachhaben GmbH & Co. KG has been managed by a manager who is not part of the family since 2004.
