Rural Academy Rhineland-Palatinate

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Rhineland-Palatinate Rural Area Academy was founded in 2008 by Hendrik Hering , Minister of State in the Ministry for Economic Affairs, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture (MWVLW) Rhineland-Palatinate and organizes training events, workshops, conferences and excursions to support the actors in rural areas of Rhineland-Palatinate. The aim is to support committed women and men in their development processes in the communities and regions - by processing knowledge and the best examples of the predominantly voluntary work .

In 2009 and 2010, eighteen training courses or conferences were offered on various topics, from flexible local transport concepts to rural tourism to cultural landscape development and land management . The events were supplemented by workshops on neighborhood help in the village community or on start-up processes, as well as a training course for Limes Cicerones. In 2011, among other things, an event for youth in rural areas will take place based on the work of recent years. The rural area academy is not tied to a fixed location, but moves to the regions as a traveling academy. The events are organized by the Service Centers for Rural Areas (DLR) - state authorities for agriculture , viticulture , land development and land management. The Rhineland-Palatinate Rural Area Academy has a small office at the Rheinhessen-Nahe-Hunsrück Rural Area Service Center in Simmern / Hunsrück and is involved in the European Education Forum for Rural Development .
