The media academy is an independent vocational school. Media GmbH , Stuttgart acts as the carrier . The independent educational institution, founded in 1993, offers courses, training and further education in the fields of media , business and CAD .

Departments

The media academy is divided into the private vocational school for design and TV production (status: state-registered vocational school) and, on the other hand, the study academy of the Mittweida University of Applied Sciences . As an accredited study facility of the Mittweida University of Applied Science, the Academy offers bachelor's degree programs in the DHS model (decentralized university).

This enabled the award of performance grants and international collaborations such as the educational network Educ-net in the media industry, a Europe-wide educational network that was created within the framework of the European joint initiative EQUAL. Cooperation partners for this project include the NHTV Breda University, the Trades Union Congress and the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce. In 2006 and 2007 the CATIA Specialist project was implemented in cooperation with the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economics , the European Union, Schwindt CAD / CAM Technologie and the media akademie eV. Small and medium-sized companies were supported in adapting to CATIA V5. In addition, the Comenius program and Leonardo (EU) mobility (internship program with the Haapaveden Opisto school in Finland ) promote cross-border vocational training and intercultural Europe-wide exchange for students.

All graduates of the accredited study academy are awarded the academic degree Bachelor of Arts or Master of Arts . The training and retraining courses conclude with an IHK final examination and a media diploma.

Advisory Board

The Advisory Board is the decisive body for admission to the Academy's Bachelor and Master courses. The advisory board is also responsible for the further development of teaching and studying at the academy.
