Akhnoor is a small town ( Municipal Committee ) in the Indian Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir .
It is located in the Jammu district . The town of Akhnoor is located on the right bank of the Chenab , 20 km north of Jammu at the foot of the Siwaliks . The city lies at an altitude of 330 m .
