Akira Kawaguchi ( Japanese 川口 晃 , Kawaguchi Akira ; born January 24, 1967 in Chiba Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player .
Career
Kawaguchi learned to play soccer on the school team at Kokugakuin Kugayama High School and the university team at Rakuno Gakuen University . His first contract signed with Efini Sapporo . In 1993 he moved to the first division club Sanfrecce Hiroshima . In 1994 he was runner-up in the J1 League with the club . In 1995 he moved to league rivals Nagoya Grampus Eight . In 1995 he won the Kaiser Cup with the club . For the club he completed two top division games. In 1996 he moved to the second division club Fukushima FC . For the club he completed 15 games. At the end of 1997 he ended his career as a football player.
