Akiyo Noguchi ( Japanese 野 口 啓 代 , Noguchi Akiyo ; born May 30, 1989 ) is a Japanese sport climber who won the overall world cup in bouldering in 2009, 2010, 2014 and 2015 . In 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2013 she finished second. From 2008 to 2013 Anna Stöhr (AUT) occupied the other of the two top positions. In 2016 she reached fourth place, in 2017 third and in 2018 she finished second in the overall World Cup and took second place in the world championship in bouldering.

Noguchi has been climbing since 2000 and competed in international youth competitions for the first time in 2003. She achieved her first top 10 placements in the lead discipline . In 2005 she was first in the Asian Youth Championship in lead and second in speed climbing . In 2005 and 2006 she came second in international youth tournaments. She has been climbing with adults since 2005. In the first year she already reached third place in the lead at the world championship. In 2007 she competed internationally in bouldering for the first time and reached four finals between fourth and second place in her first season, after which bouldering became her special discipline. From 2008 to 2015 she was first or second in the Bouldering World Cup every year. Until 2014 she also climbed in the lead discipline in the World Cup.

At the World Climbing Championships she was third in lead in 2005, second in bouldering in 2007 and third in 2014. In 2014 she reached second place in bouldering at the Rockmaster , which makes 2014 her most successful year to date. [outdated]

Akiyo Noguchi also climbs to the top of the world in rock, in 2013 she managed the Mind Control route in Oliana, Spain, with a difficulty of 5.14c (8c +).
