The action moorland protection is a project to protect Moore in Lower Saxony . Through state-wide public relations work and political commitment, the campaign promotes the preservation and renaturation of various types of bog in north-west Germany .

It was founded in 2012 as an inter-association cooperation between the Osterholz Biological Station , the Manfred Hermsen Foundation and the BUND and NABU nature conservation associations in Lower Saxony and is based in Osterholz-Scharmbeck .
