akzept eV - German Association for accepting drug work and humane drug policy is the umbrella organization of about 60 institutions of the drug help , AIDS assistance , support groups and parent organizations and over 130 individuals from Germany and neighboring countries. accept was founded in 1990 in Bremen . The goals of the federal association are the promotion of accepting drug work , the decriminalization of drug users and research into the effects of prohibitive drug policies .
The chairman is Heino Stöver , members of the scientific advisory board include: Lorenz Böllinger , Manfred Kappeler , Stephan Quensel , Peter Raschke , Sebastian Scheerer and Irmgard Vogt .
Since 2014, accept has been co-editor of the Alternative Drugs and Addiction Report , which has appeared six times to date. Scientists, addiction support practitioners, parents' representatives, politicians and also drug users critically examine the existing drug policy.
