al-Malik al-Muzaffar (or: al-Muazzam ) Sulaiman ( Arabic المعظم سليمان or الملك المظفر, DMG al-Malik al-Muẓaffar / al-Muʿaẓẓam Sulaimān ; died 1250 in al-Mansura ) from the Ayyubid dynasty was 1214–1215 emir of Yemen . His father was called Saad ad-Din Shahansah ( Saʿd ad-Dīn Šāhanšāh ) and he was a great-great-nephew of Saladin .

Around 1214 Sulaiman married the mother of his late cousin an-Nasir Ayyub and thus took control of Yemen. However, the Rasulid family, who lived in Yemen and brought several cities under their control, rose up against him . Sulaiman was imprisoned only a year later for his failure and brought to Cairo in chains before Sultan al-Kamil I. Muhammad . He was replaced in Yemen by his son al-Masud Yusuf , before the country was ruled by the Rasulids from 1229.

Sulaiman remained a prisoner until the Sixth Crusade, which invaded Egypt in 1249/50, gave him the opportunity to prove his loyalty to the Sultan. However , he was killed in the fighting over al-Mansura .
