Al Taliaferro
Charles Alfred Taliaferro (born August 29, 1905 in Montrose , Colorado , † February 3, 1969 in Glendale , California ) was an American comic artist. He drew the first Donald Duck comic strips from September 16, 1934 and gave Donald his final appearance. Al Taliaferro joined the Walt Disney Company in 1931 . There he washed the early Mickey Mouse comics , initially alongside Floyd Gottfredson . From April 1932 he drew the Sunday pages for the Silly Symphonies . From 1938 Taliaferro drew the Donald Duck comic strips and the Sunday pages based on texts by Bob Karp . Taliaferro introduced Donald's three nephews Tick, Trick and Track and Donald's Auto 313 to the comics.
