Ala Boratyn

Alicja Julia Boratyn (born November 27, 1992 in Łódź ) is a Polish singer . She became known in 2005 with the band Blog 27 , which she founded with Tola Szlagowska . At the time she was 13 years old. In 2007 she started her solo career.

Career

Blog 27 (2005-2007)

In 2005, Alicja Boratyn, then 13, founded the girl group Blog 27 together with Tola Slagowska. The group became known in Germany for their music video Uh La La La , which was broadcast on the children's television channel Nickelodeon in 2005 . The single for the song Uh La La La became one of the biggest hits in Poland in 2005. Their second single Hey Boy (Get Your Ass Up) sold immediately. Her debut album LOL , which was released in Poland, Germany, Japan and Switzerland in 2006, sold 100,000 copies in Poland alone and reached 1st place in the Polish charts. The album was ranked 18th in the annual Polish charts and 81st in the Hungarian annual charts.

On October 18, 2006 , she announced that she would leave the band and start a solo career.

Solo career (2007-today)

In June 2007 Boratyn released her first songs called Angel , Ska , Losing and Darling . Her singles Angel and Don't Believe In Them reached 25th and 40th place in the Polish charts. In 2007 her first solo album was released, which is called Higher .
