Alabat one is Philippine island province of Quezon , the island of Luzon in front.
Alabat Island is to the south of Lamon Bay and separates the waters into Lopez and Calauag Bay . It has a length of 33 km and a width of 4 to 6 km. The coastline of the island is about 225 km. On the southwest coast of the island there are large mangrove forests with larger marshland in front of them. In the interior of the island there are larger rainforests in the Alabat Watershed Forest Reserve .
The area of the island is shared by the municipalities of Quezon , Perez and Alabat . The island's climate is tropical, humid and warm without a pronounced dry season. Due to its location, the island is regularly hit by severe cyclones during the typhoon season . The heaviest precipitation falls from November to January.
