Aladár Aujeszky

Aladár Aujeszky [ ˈɒlɒdaːr ˈɒujɛski ] (born January 11, 1869 in Pest, now Budapest , † March 9, 1933 in Budapest) was a Hungarian veterinary pathologist and microbiologist .

Aujeszky taught in Budapest, describing 1902 as the first named after him viral disease of pigs which Aujeszky's disease . He was a student of Endre Högyes . From 1907 to 1933 he worked as director of the Institute of Bacteriology of the Royal Hungarian Veterinary College.
