Alan , whose full name is Alan Osório da Costa Silva (born September 19, 1979 in Salvador da Bahia ), is a former Brazilian football player .
In his youth and his first season as a senior in 2000/01, the 1.80 m tall attacking midfielder played in Brazil for Ipatinga FC . Then he signed a four-year contract with the Portuguese first division club Marítimo Funchal in Madeira . For the years 2005-2008 he signed up with the top club FC Porto , but was loaned to Vitória Guimarães in the 2007/08 season. Since 2008 he has been a member of the Sporting Clube de Braga.
