Alan Barclay
Alan Barclay (actually George Barclay Tait ; born December 13, 1909 ; died February 1991 in Stockport , Cheshire ) was a British science fiction writer.
Tait was a civil engineer and served in the Royal Air Force during World War II . From 1951 he began to publish short stories, mainly in Science Fantasy and New Worlds . His first novel, Space Opera Of Earth and Fire (1974), a fix-up of previously published stories, was translated into German under the title Die Raumsoldaten .
